One of the biggest challenges employers face is hiring team members who are a good fit with the company’s goals and stated mission. Managers looking to fill home-based job openings can face extra hurdles, which is one reason why using FlexJobs can be a boon to organizations hiring for flexible positions.

To highlight how FlexJobs can help, we’re focusing on Tasty Superfoods, an employer who used FlexJobs’ services to recruit talent and fill remote positions.

Based in Fairfield, Iowa, Tasty Superfoods has operated since 2005 as a “one-stop shop for organic Ayurvedic products,” all made in the U.S.Tasty Superfoods Logo with top-quality ingredients. Tasty Superfoods offers food, health and beauty items, and wholesale products that the company either produces itself, or handpicks using “exacting high standards,” according to the company’s website.

No surprise, then, that Tasty Superfoods would seek top-notch home-based workers to help the company fulfill its mission. We reached out to Andrew Voskov at Tasty Superfoods about the company’s experience using FlexJobs to find qualified team members who could work from home.

As stated on Tasty Superfood’s website, the company’s mission is to “be a vital force in the success of Organic Farming, Health Freedom, Traditional Cultures, and other Human-centered causes around the world.” With those goals in mind, the company started its search for home-based workers in 2016, Voskov told us.

So how did Tasty Superfoods discover FlexJobs? “I heard it from an online ecommerce training as a recommendation for finding highly educated U.S. applicants,” Voskov wrote, responding to emailed questions from FlexJobs about the organization’s hiring success using our services.

As an employer, Voskov said, Tasty Superfoods offers “the ability for my employee(s) to work from home and remotely.” After he contacted FlexJobs and became an employer member, flexible job openings at Tasty Superfoods were listed on the FlexJobs website.

Finding Qualified Team Members to Meet Company Goals

Products sold by Tasty Superfoods range from Dosha spices and teas to organic bath and body products from around the world.  As a web-based business, Tasty Superfoods is committed to fulfilling the orders and requests from customers, no matter where they live.

With the help of FlexJobs services, finding qualified workers to meet Tasty Superfoods’ commitments was “very easy and fruitful,” Voskov wrote. “Absolutely!” Although the company’s experience hiring for remote positions is relatively recent, it’s been an excellent experience so far, Voskov told us. “I’ve hired my first,” he wrote, “and they have exceeded my expectations.”

Insights for Employers Considering Work Flexibility

Tasty Superfoods’ commitment to work flexibility dovetails with the company’s day-to-day goals and its overall values, Voskov told us. “I believe [remote work] keeps the employee feeling more in control of their life, and thus more satisfied and productive,” Voskov wrote.

Voskov offered a great tip for other companies that may be on the fence about work flexibility. “I would say try it out and see if it fits with your style of operation,” he said.

For Tasty Superfoods, the verdict is in when it comes to using FlexJobs to find the best candidates for flexible job openings. “I have been very impressed with the high level of skill and education that all my applicants have shown me,” Voskov concluded.
