Aringo was founded in 2002 by Gil Levi, a 1999 MBA graduate of Wharton, who used his own experience getting into Wharton to develop his format.

Aringo is owned by Shimri Winters, a 2005 MBA graduate of the London Business School, and is managed and operated by Chaya Pomeranz. Mr. Levi based his company on the same essay-writing tools that he developed as an applicant and has helped hundreds of students with GMAT scores below 720 get accepted into the MBA programs of their choice. Clients of Aringo have been accepted into top schools, including Duke, Harvard, MIT, INSEAD, LBS, and Kellogg, all with GMAT scores below 700. Aringo uses a roundtable strategy, meaning that each consultant collects “expert opinions at the critical decision points throughout the application process.” Proceeding the completion of the application, Aringo brings on a second consultant to offer a new perspective and to ensure that the entire application meets or exceeds the Aringo “standard of excellence.”
