Based in Brooklyn, New York, 3rd Ward is an educational organization that provides creative work space for individuals across a range of artistic disciplines. From woodworking and metal shop space to photography and jewelry-making studios, 3rd Ward offers work-space solutions to people at every skill level, from beginners to professionals. Jason Goodman and Jeremy Lovitt founded 3rd Ward after experiencing their own frustrations as creative professionals with finding space to work. The options were either to work at home with the limitations that entails for artists, or to "sacrifice creative freedom and work for someone else." So they rented a 20,000-square-foot warehouse in Brooklyn's third ward, and 3rd Ward was born. Offering more than 200 classes, lectures, as well as options to rent "co-working" space, and professional-level space and access, 3rd Ward provides a community of artists and like-minded people who have the space to express their artistic creativity.
