Carle’s history goes back to 1918 when Margaret Burt Carle Morris left an endowment to the city of Urbana for the purpose of opening a hospital. Today, Carle offers inpatient care at its 393-bed Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois and its 25-bed hospital and clinic in Hoopeston, Illinois, in addition to outpatient services at more than 20 centers and clinics.
