Launched in 1997, College Track is an after-school program offering a comprehensive approach to helping high school students get into college, be successful in their higher education, and use the knowledge gained to develop a career. In past hiring, the nonprofit organization has offered 100% remote, hybrid remote, and part-time jobs in education & training, nonprofit & philanthropy, accounting & finance, and writing, among related career fields. As an employer, College Track offers “extensive” benefits to eligible employees in three core areas: healthcare, work-life balance, and financial security. The benefits package includes up to 27 discretionary days off annually (including vacation and sick time), and an additional 28 paid office closure and holidays.

The mission of College Track is to encourage and empower underserved students to graduate from college. Students are encouraged to join College Track in their freshman year to ensure that all requirements are known and met in a timely fashion. Its programs begin the summer before freshman year, or ninth grade, and continue until college graduation. This long-term program allows students to gain insight and valuable advice for success in education. The programs at College Track also cover academic affairs, student life, college affairs, and college success. Besides its main office in Oakland, California, College Track has centers in East Palo Alto and San Francisco, California; New Orleans, Louisiana; Aurora, Colorado; and Washington, DC.
