The Dance Complex was founded in 1991 and is a regional center for dance and multicultural activities related to the movement arts in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Located in the historic Odd Fellows Hall, the Dance Complex grew out of a need to save this space as a place for dance, and it was created by the City of Cambridge, the Central Square Business Association, and the dance community in Cambridge. Today, the Dance Complex operates as a rental facility where over 60 teachers are able to hold classes, workshops, and concerts for 1,000 community members every week. In addition, the Dance Complex serves as the home base for 15 regional dance companies and it stays running seven days a week through the efforts of hundreds of volunteers. As an employer, the Dance Complex seeks people who share its commitment to collaboration, community, and dance, and in the past it has offered part-time jobs.
