Earplay is a consortium of composers and musicians who are dedicated to chamber music and it was founded in 1985. The mission of Earplay is to "nuture new chamber music linking audiences, performers, and composers through concerts, commissions, and recordings of the finest music of our time." Based in San Francisco, California, Earplay performs at the Herbst Theatre, Koret Auditorium, the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and other venues, and has performed over 400 works since its founding, including 50 newly commissioned works. In the past, Earplay has offered part-time jobs.
