Faith in Action was founded in 1972 and formerly known as PICO National Network before rebranding in 2018 to better reflect its mission.

Headquartered in Oakland, California, Faith in Action has additional locations in San Diego, California, and in Washington, DC. In the past, the organization has offered part-time, temporary, freelance, and up to 100% remote jobs for U.S. applicants nationwide, including opportunities in research, human services, accounting & finance, operations, and nonprofit & philanthropy fields, among others.
