The third largest campus in the Indiana University system, Indiana University South Bend is an institution of higher learning that offers more than 100 degree programs. Located on an 80-acre campus on the banks of the St. Joseph River, Indiana University South Bend has a total enrollment of more than 8,300 students, including nearly 650 graduate students and more than 200 international students. Established in 1916, Indiana University South Bend began as an extension of Indiana University Bloomington. The only comprehensive university in Indiana's north central region, Indiana University South Bend also offers distance learning opportunities in undergraduate courses, as well as in the master of business administration program.
