The National Association of State Foresters is a non-profit organization located in Washington, DC. Comprised of the directors of forestry departments for each of the states and US territories, the National Association of State Foresters is dedicated to the protection and conservation of forestlands as well as sustainable forestry. Through numerous programs and activities, the National Association of State Foresters protects the nations forests while supporting environmental education for preservation of natural forestland. Issues managed by the National Association of State Foresters include climate, green building, biomass, energy, wildfire suppression, and forest inventory and analysis.
