P.S. ARTS is a creative school that provides arts education to underserved communities and public schools in the greater Los Angeles, California area. It offers year long arts education in music, dance, visual arts, and theater to every child in their school during the regular school day, and is the only organization in southern and central California to do so. 

Without P.S. ARTS, many of these young students who attend underfunded schools have no access to arts education. P.S. ARTS coordinates with schools, their administrators, and parents to provide outreach services that aim to increase the local community’s capacity to fight for educational equality. P.S. ARTS is also dedicated to providing cultural experiences for the students’ family as well. Through its curriculum, P.S. ARTS can teach cognitive and creative skills to help students who struggle to overcome ability, economic, and literacy barriers that can help them down a path to become better, more successful, and competitive people. The high school dropout rate is higher than ever in Los Angeles County, and P.S. ARTS works to help diminish that statistic, offering youth in its community access to the arts and a better life.
