Headquartered in San Francisco, California, the Rainforest Action Network - RAN is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) environmental and human rights organization dedicated to the health and preservation of global forests. Supported by international volunteers since its inception in 1985, the Rainforest Action Network works toward increasing awareness of environmental protection to lead to a sustainable world and healthy planet.

The Rainforest Action Network is led by a team of more than 30 staff members and is supported by a dedicated team of volunteers and an 11-member board of directors.
