Founded by the National Association of Evangelicals in 1944 to address humanitarian needs after World War II, World Relief has since expanded into a global nonprofit aid organization that focuses on empowering local churches around the globe to assist at-risk populations and implement sustainable growth and development programs. World Relief’s U.S. missions partner with the U.S. Department of State and local churches to provide a range of refugee support services, such as resettlement, employment help, immigration legal services, counseling, community services, youth education and cultural programs, anti-trafficking support, detention center ministry, and economic stability services. World Relief’s international ministries operate in 24 countries worldwide and focus on programs for disaster response, health and child development, refugee support, economic development, and peace building.
