How did you first hear about FlexJobs? How long did it take you to find a position?

I found FlexJobs by doing a Google search for part-time telecommuting jobs. I was hoping to find something I could do from home on my own time for supplemental pay in addition to my other part-time job. I registered with FlexJobs in June 2012 and found my first job two months later in August. I didn’t find the Yahoo! job until November.

Did you have a particular kind of flexibility you were looking for or were you open to freelance, telecommute, flexible schedule, and part-time opportunities?

I was hoping to find a job I could do in the mornings and afternoons. My other part-time job is nights and weekends, so I was looking to use that free time to make some extra money. I was open to anything (freelance, telecommute, part-time, etc.) as long as it didn’t interfere with my nights and weekends for my other job.

What is the biggest benefit to you in having a flexible job?

The biggest benefit was working on my own time and setting my own hours. If I wasn’t feeling motivated or didn’t have time, it wasn’t a big deal as I could pick it up the next day.
