The ALS Association Golden West Chapter is a member of leading nonprofit organization and the only organization of its kind in the U.S. working to end ALS, the ALS Association. The ALS Association Golden West Chapter was founded in 2010 as a result of the merger between the two largest California Chapters, the ALS Association Greater Los Angeles and Greater Bay Area. Headquartered in Agoura Hills, California, the ALS Association Golden West Chapter maintains two offices, in Calabasas, California and Oakland, California, serving over 31 counties throughout the state. The ALS Association Golden West Chapter seeks to offer up-to-date information and resources regarding ALS, area services, research, public awareness, fundraising, and ALS advocacy services, as well as multidisciplinary health care through support groups, and clinics. In the past, the ALS Association Golden West Chapter has offered flexible employment in the form of both part-time and full-time telecommuting positions.
