Since 1990, ALS Association Massachusetts Chapter has worked to assist and support people living with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, and their families and caregivers. Based in Norwood, Massachusetts, ALS Association Massachusetts Chapter provides services free of charge to those affected by Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, commonly known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. As an affiliate of the ALS Association, ALS Association Massachusetts Chapter is helping to work toward better treatments, and ultimately a cure, for ALS. Locally, ALS Association Massachusetts Chapter provides home visits, support groups, social work consultation, and educational programs. The Curt and Shonda Shilling ALS Clinic, a certified multidisciplinary ALS clinic under the auspices of ALS Association Massachusetts Chapter, is held twice a month at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, Massachusetts. As an employer, ALS Association Massachusetts Chapter has offered part-time job opportunities in the past.
