A pluralistic, Jewish teen movement based in Washington, DC, BBYO was established nearly a century ago to offer identity-enrichment experiences and leadership programs to shape the character and confidence of its students. Throughout its history, BBYO has served more than 350,000 alumni who have since established themselves as prominent figures in the arts, academia, business, politics, and Jewish communal life.

Today, BBYO's network of alumni, teens, parents, philanthropists, and volunteers provide the post-bar/bat mitzvah Jewish community with a valuable platform to forge lasting connections with the Jewish people. Committed to active leadership, inclusivity, Jewish identity, and tradition, the nonprofit organization reaches approximately 70,000 Jewish teens in over 700 chapters across more than 50 countries. BBYO offers a safe, welcoming community in which it encourages teens to "develop their own personal Jewish identity." Its programming emphasizes connectivity and includes leadership programs and training conferences, travel and community service opportunities, international conventions, and much more.
