The Main Audubon is located in Falmouth, Maine with additional centers located in Holden and Scarborough, Maine and seven chapters located throughout the state. Main Audubon is a non-profit organization that provides a variety of programs and services to conserve wildlife and wildlife habitats through education and resources for its community members. The Main Audubon offers camps and retreats, trips and tours, field pond programs, conservation and policy, advocacy efforts, resources for educators, programs and courses for the public, and public school programs. The Main Audubon has a rich history dating back to 1843 with several milestones along the way and in 2000; the Main Audubon joined the National Audubon Society. The Main Audubon usually has a variety of opportunities to join the organization through employment, internships, and volunteer positions with some having the ability to work a part-time schedule.
