The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services - FDACS is a Florida state executive department led by the Commissioner of Agriculture who is elected to a four-year term. The commissioner works with Chief of Staff, an Assistant Deputy Commissioner, and three Deputy Commissioners to manage the department. In 1992, the Florida State legislature passed the Laws of Florida, which organized the FDACS into several divisions that are each led by Division Directors.

FDACS divisions include administration, plant industry, fruits and vegetables, marketing and development, forestry, animal industry, standards, dairy, agricultural environmental sciences, food safety, aquaculture, consumer services, and licensing. In addition to state divisions, the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services also operates separate offices for Agricultural Water Policy, Agricultural Law, the Inspector General, Agricultural Emergency Preparedness, and the Commissioner of Agriculture.
