Headquartered in Mableton, Georgia, Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta is a chapter of the national Girl Scouts of America organization that serves more than 40,000 girls and over 17,000 adult members in 34 counties across the greater Atlanta area. The Girl Scouts organization traces its history back to 1912 when Juliette Gordon Low organized the first group of girls in Savannah, Georgia. 

Today, the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta remains committed to promoting the Girl Scout values of confidence, courage, character, and making the world a better place through Daisies, Brownies, Juniors, Cadets, Seniors, and Ambassadors troop programs for girls and teens in grades K-12. In addition to participating in troop leadership-building activities, girls can get involved with the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta by attending an event or series, participating in an outdoor camp, or joining one of the organization's many national and international field trips.
